Raleigh Rockin' Walkin' Tour

Ever wonder what our capital’s buildings are made of? Join them for this walking tour where you will explore different rock types while visiting historic buildings, museums and other hidden nooks in the downtown area. Explore the rocks, minerals and fossils that make up the buildings of downtown Raleigh. They will use hands-on activities and samples to find out how the rocks were made and why they are used for buildings. The tour will run rain or shine except in the case of severe weather.
