TEA CUP GIN hails from North Carolina, with members who’ve also lived and played in the musical meccas of Chicago, NYC, New Orleans, Savannah, Nashville, and Washington DC. The members of Tea Cup Gin share a passion for crafting original musical cocktails under the influence of an eclectic blend of early 20th century genres (deco era jazz standards, tin pan alley classics, ragtime & delta blues, torch, chanson, cabaret, bossa, tango, & show tunes). The band takes an authentic yet unconventional approach to the great American jazz tradition, stirring together original melodies and lyrics, served up on two blazing acoustic guitars, with impassioned vocals, dynamic upright bass & percussion, and occasional guests on trombone, trumpet, violin, sax, & more.

MINT JULEP JAZZ BAND – The Durham-based Mint Julep Jazz Band makes their New York debut on June 24, 2016 at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing, an annual summer concert series that highlights an array of performers from dance music genres like salsa, disco, tango — and, of course, swing. With their little big band lineup of 4 horns, rhythm section, and vocalist, the Mint Julep Jazz Band recreates the jazz sounds of the 1920′s, 1930′s, and early 1940’s through arrangements based on original recordings from the jazz age and swing era. The Mint Julep Jazz Band is based out of Durham, NC and is led by trombonist Lucian Cobb and vocalist Laura Windley, who have put their collective knowledge and love of swing music together to create an ideal dance band for swing dancers. PETER LAMB – saxophonist and band leader of the popular group Peter Lamb & the Wolves. Called into existence in 2008 to play Humble Pie’s presidential party, the band that resulted was just too good to leave be. Nowadays, living up to their fairy-tale namesakes, the Wolves peddle languid sophistication that is always a little bit dangerous. Their repertoire reaches back to New Orleans’ earliest syncopaters but also forward to hipster bards like Bob Dylan and Tom Waits; a tango might trip on the heels of a French waltz or a Russian folk song. The Wolves are sought out by swing dancers, but their tenderer tunes make the perfect nightcap for late-night lovers.
