Saturday, October 13th Hayrides start at 6:30 and run every 10 minutes until 8:30. Call the park office at (252)726-3775 to sign up.
Suggested $5 donation.
Join them at Fort Macon State Park for an evening hay ride and night hike on the Elliott Coues Nature Trail!!
The Howling Hayride and Night Hike will start at the bathhouse at 6:30pm and we will have hay rides leaving every 10 minutes until 8:30. Twenty people maximum per hay ride. The hay ride will transport you to the starting point of the night hike.
The night hike portion will be a 1.5 mile self-guided flashlight hike.
Call the park office at (252)726-3775 to sign up. Any remaining slots will be available first come, first serve the night of the event.
Bring a flashlight, pencil, and bug spray.
In addition, this year the Crystal Coast Stargazers will be set up in the bathhouse parking lot invitating visitors to look at space through telescopes and binoculars (weather permitting).
*Children must be accompanied by an adult.
**Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled hay ride time. Hay rides will leave promptly at scheduled time.
