Old Fashion 4th of July Celebration

Downtown Apex
Downtown Apex Wednesday, July 4th, 9:00am - 1:00pm Admission is Free

Join them in Historic Downtown Apex as they celebrate America"s Birthday! Kids 12 & under may participate in Uncle Sam"s Parade of Wheels down Salem Street. Decorate your bike, wagon, tricycle, or other non-motorized vehicle in patriotic colors to celebrate our nation"s independence. The Parade starts at the corner of Salem & Chatham Streets at noon, so be sure to line up early to save your place. Festivities will end with the Apex Fire Department"s Splash Down!  Please note:  Helmets are required for the Parade of Wheels.

Schedule of Events
Downtown streets will be closed from 7am - 2pm.  Events are as follows:
9:00 am: Flag Raising
9:15 am: Activities begin (inflatables, water slide, face painting, karaoke contest, carnival games, climbing wall, sno cones, barbecue, and more!)
11:45 am: Parade of Wheels line-up
11:50 am: Activities end
12:00 pm: Uncle Sam"s Parade of Wheels
12:30 pm: Fire Department Splash Down
(Rain or shine event. In case of inclement weather event may be cancelled if conditions are determined to be severe. Stay tuned to the town"s social media accounts, we will post if cancelled.)
