This hike will circle Big Lake (about a 4-mile hike) and show some beautiful parts of Umstead State Park that people rarely see. On the way we will see what is going on in the spring woods. On the back end of the Lake we have to cross two creeks that don"t have bridges so be mentally prepared for sketchy log crossings. On the positive side of potentially falling in the creek, everyone else usually enjoys the show.
