For years, scientists have worked to understand the changes that occur in trees and other plants during autumn. Although many details remain unclear, we do know enough to explain the basics of nature"s multicolored display. Explore the factors that influence the onset, timing, and intensity of autumn colors, and reveal hidden leaf colors in a hands-on science experiment.
