Event Attractions

Muttallica: The Greatest Show on Four Paws! 
Presented by Ultimate Canines, LLC.
This family oriented show stands heads and tails above the rest, with a combination of rescued and adopted dogs plus Darlin Dixie, the world’s most talented mini horse. Shows will take place at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Treibball Competition and Demo
Join in the fun, or take in the show. Canines will compete in this fun herding game that is suitable for dogs of all sizes and ages. Free registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the competition will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The Hyperflite Skyhoundz NC Canine Disc State Championship

Contestants and their canine teammates will score points for everything from high-flying grabs to unbelievable acrobatics. Pre-registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the competition will start at 12:30 p.m. The competition is limited to 50 contestants.

There is no entry fee for competitors. The competition format will consist of Distance-Accuracy for novice teams and distance-accuracy plus freestyle for experienced teams. Judging will be handled by a panel of canine disc experts. All competitors will receive a free official Hyperflite K-10 Competition Standard flying disc, and the top 3 teams in each division will receive awards. Families, friends, and spectators are invited to enjoy this unique event and applaud these talented canine athletes.

Costume Contest and Parade
Dress up your pup to show off their favorite costume and join the parade through the park. At the end of the parade judges will award prizes in various categories. Parade begins at 1 p.m.

Fun Zone
An active off-leash area for games that all participants can take part in with their furry friends.

Local Canine Foster and Adoption Organizations
An opportunity to learn about and support local canine agencies. You may even find your new best friend!

Fun Walk
Enjoy a pre-event walk with your four-legged companion. Follow the trail past the location of the future Rock Quarry Dog Park, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the beautiful natural scenery of Rock Quarry Park. The walk will be approximately 1 mile, and will begin at 11 a.m. All finishers will receive a small keepsake.

Browse and shop for pet-related items from many local canine businesses.

Rabies Vaccinations & Microchip Clinic
Affordable Animal Care will be on site to administer rabies vaccinations ($10) and microchip services ($25; includes one year membership).

Canine Food Drive
Help us support local shelter dogs by donating dog food and treats to Independent Animal Rescue. Kirkland brand dry food is preferred, but any brand will gladly be accepted. Canned food and treats such as milk bones, training treats, and edible long lasting treats are also in need. Please do not donate rawhide chews.
