Three Kings Day Parade

Page-Walker Arts & History Center
Page-Walker Arts & History Center. Saturday, January 4th, 12:30pm. Free event

In January, on the 12th day of Christmas the Three Kings arrive preceded by a parade of individuals, community groups, and businesses walking, driving vehicles, and/or riding floats.

Three Kings Day

For many, Christmas doesn’t end on December 26. In fact, the holiday season doesn’t officially end until “The 12th Day of Christmas,” which falls annually on January 6. This holiday, known as the “Feast of the Epiphany” or “Three Kings Day,” marks the biblical adoration of baby Jesus by the three Wise Men.

The Parade
Diamante, Inc., a Cary-based organization dedicated to the preservation, development, and promotion of the culture, heritage and artistic expressions of the latino/hispanic population in North Carolina, celebrates this holiday with an annual parade. Many Spanish speaking countries participate in the Día de los Reyes Parade, walking in traditional dress and some with musical accompaniment. During the Cary parade, the Three Kings of the East will march along N. Academy Street with the prince and princess of the parade along with folkloric groups, local businesses and non-profits.
