You"re invited to enjoy a movie under the stars!

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is pleased to offer the following Family Movie Nights and special pre-show activities at Joyner Park:

May 26 - Coco

June 30 - The Lion King

July 28 - Cars 3

Aug. 11 - Beauty & The Beast

Pre-show activities begin at 7:15 pm. Movie Showtime is 8:30 pm. Anyone planning to attend is urged to arrive early as viewing space may be limited.

Pre-Show Activities

New this year, Family Movie Nights at Joyner Park will also include the following movie-related pre-show activities beginning at 7:15 p.m.:

May 26 - Music & Masks
Make skull masks at the arts and crafts table and join local student performers as they play and sing music from the movie, Coco.
June 30 – Meet the Animals of Africa
The Museum of Natural History will be onsite with a “Meet the Animals” program table and Carolina Tiger Rescue will provide a community presentation.  
July 28 – Create a Car
Bring your own cardboard box to create a car with your family that you can sit in while you enjoy Cars 3.
Aug 11 – Belle & Books
Bring a new or gently used book to donate and enjoy a Meet and Greet with Princess Belle.  

Know Before You Go

These events are free and open to the public.

Be sure to bring a blanket and/or chairs. You may also want to bring bug spray, a flash light and umbrella - just in case.

Alcohol, smoking, and unleashed pets are prohibited

Assorted food vendors will be on hand selling snacks and beverages.

Weather Updates  

In case of inclement weather, the movie screenings may be relocated to Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. Updated show information will be available on the town"s Facebook page and by calling the Wake Forest Weather Line at 919-435-9569.

Smartphone users who have downloaded the Town of Wake Forest app will receive a push notification message informing them of any schedule changes.
