TACO: Citizen Science Saturday

Prairie Ridge Ecostation for Wildlife Learning
Prairie Ridge Ecostation Saturday, September 30th 10:30am-11:30am Free. Please note that while everyone is welcome, these walks are best suited to citizen scientists ages 8 and up. Contact Chris Goforth at 919.707.8882 or chris.goforth@naturalsciences.org for more information.

Citizen science is a big part of what we do at Prairie Ridge, so we welcome one and all to our weekly citizen science walks! These Saturday morning adventures will introduce you to a citizen science project and enlist your help collecting and entering data as you enjoy a walk around the grounds with one of our naturalists. Topics will vary from week to week, and may include gathering data on tree and garden budding/blooming, pond dragonflies, ladybugs, or birds. Come once or come every week — we’re happy to show you how YOU can contribute to science as a citizen scientist!

Meet them by the entrance kiosk.  Want to know this week’s topic?  Check our Prairie Ridge Facebook page!  They do their best to get the topics posted by Friday afternoon.
