Barktoberfest

Barktoberfest is a free event in Durham Central Park, 501 Foster Street, Durham, on Saturday, October 26th, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It’s being presented by Durham Parks and Recreation and Beyond Fences.

Here’s some of what’s going on:
Costume contest for individual dogs: 4 p.m.
Costume contest for group costumes: 5 p.m.
Music by The Mighty Messengers of Soul: 3 p.m.
Photo booth. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase a photo taken by a local photographer
Canine food drive for Durham dogs in need
Fun walk through the park. The route will lead you through the park and you’ll learn fun facts along the way
Pet market–shop for pet-related items
Local canine foster and adoption organizations
Raffles
Beer and food sales
