Join them in honoring our community by volunteering for 911 Day of Service. We’ll be partnering with the Rotary Club of Durham for a Little Library Build Day! Little Libraries are small containers of books that are placed in communities to provide more reading options. They’re free to communities and once they are built they are self sustaining.

 

Drop by The Cage at the American Tobacco Campus between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, September 11 to help them build Little Libraries.  The Rotary Club of Durham will identify communities in need and install the libraries. We’re looking for help building and painting the libraries.

 

If you can’t volunteer on that day, you can donate gently used or new books to fill them! Books can be dropped of at the Welcome Center of any Durham YMCA branch between now and September 11.
