From Pears to Paw Paws: How to Grow Fruit in Your Backyard Join Helen Yoest as she shares practical advice for growing fruit organically in your home landscape. Yoest will provide a list of fruits she grows in her Raleigh teaching garden and provide lots of tips for growing your own apples, pears, blueberries, strawberries and more! Learn how to integrate fruit growing into a landscape that is not only beautiful but better for pollinators and wildlife. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Helen Yoest, Director of Bee Better Naturally, advocates for sustainable gardening techniques through her community outreach as well as through private and public garden tours. She is the author of three books about gardening: “Gardening with Confidence,” “Plants with Benefits” and “Good Berry Bad Berry.” Her articles have appeared in well-known magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living and Martha Stewart Living.
