Science Cafe

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
NC Museum of Natural Sciences Thursday, January 18th 7pm-8:30pm Free

Get ready to ring in the New Year with science! We’ll talk about the craziest party animals in the animal kingdom, break out the bubbly for supercool experiments, and find the science in New Year’s predictions. Pregame your Science New Year’s Eve with host Chris Smith and comedian Brett Williams at this special edition of the Science Cafe.

Chris Smith
is Curator of the SECU Daily Planet Theater and the host of the Science Cafe each week. Chris hosts guest speakers, moderates questions from the audience, and offers regular programs for Museum visitors in the Daily Planet Theater. Rather than introducing the guest speaker, Chris will be our speaker for the Science Cafe.

Brett Williams is an animal care technician by day and stand-up comedian by night. You might find Brett caring for animals at the Duke Lemur Center, Carolina Tiger Rescue, and at the Museum. You may know Brett from the critically acclaimed stage show “Avenue Q” or have seen Brett on stage at local comedy clubs performing award-winning comedy songs.
