Family Night: Crime Scene Investigators

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Thursday, October 5th 5:30pm-7:30pm Free (pre-registration is suggested but not required)

Help the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) investigate a crime scene in the Nature Research Center.  View the crime scene first hand in the lobby before traveling throughout the building to different units of the crime lab where you learn about what they do and how it relates to the scene.  A scenario and scavenger hunt handout will guide you to units that can help you solve the crime.  The units helping investigate the scene include Biology, Latents, Firearms, Trace, Drug Chemistry, Toxicology, and Digital Evidence.  At the end of the night you can receive a junior investigator certificate for completing one of the handouts.
