Start the New Year off on the right foot! Join a Park Ranger on this two-hour hike to discover some of the natural wonders of this prominent landmark! First Day Hike"s are being promoted in North Carolina State Parks in concert with a national effort by America"s State Parks and the National Association of State Park Directors. The effort promotes a healthy lifestyle as well as appreciation of natural resources. This hike will be to Raven Rock. The hike will descend the staircase (100+ steps) but then reconvene along the Raven Rock Loop Trail. Visitors who choose not to descend the stairs may wait at the top for the group or continue to hike on their own. Dress for the weather and meet at the Picnic Shelter. Leashed dogs are welcome.
