Bioblitz

Be a citizen scientist during our first Annual Bioblitz! Join scientists and educators from the NC Zoo as we document wild species found on trails throughout the park. Enjoy one of two guided hikes off the trails as we document native plants and animals onto iNaturalist for our Bioblitz event!

Check out the Bioblitz and iNaturalist information stations located at each entrance and learn what plants and animals we are logging on iNaturalist. Register here for the off trail hikes!

Join us for a guided hike and use the iNaturalist app on your smartphone to identify and document the location of native animals you see on your hike! *Limited to first 40 guests per hike.
11:00am- Meet at the North America Entrance (pre-ticket) for a walk along the Marsh to Solar Pointe
1:00pm- Meet at Akiba Market Africa Entrance (pre-ticket) for a walk along Hippo Beach


Animal Perceptions
Join students with the NC School of Science and Mathematics to learn more about animal perception experiences.
