Bike Safety Fair

Downtown Wake Forest
Wake Forest Town Hall, Taylor Street Parking Lot Saturday, May 4th Free event

You’ll find the Town’s Bicycle Safety Fair in the Town Hall parking lot located on Brooks Street. Facilitated by the Wake Forest Planning Department, the Bicycle Safety Fair is designed to teach safe bicycle riding skills to children ages five to 14 and their parents. During the event, participants will be taught safe riding techniques through an obstacle course that re-creates real-life situations. The course will help participants practice scanning for automobiles, develop correct riding techniques, offer intersection safety tips and teach children how to avoid road hazards such as tree limbs, pot holes, and rocks. Loaner helmets and bicycles will be available on a first-come/first-serve basis.
