Welcome to a fabulous fall festival weekend! There are so many awesome festivals throughout the parks and museums this weekend to pick from with a great variety of music, culture and activities.

Thursday night at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, join them for their weekly Science Thursday with a Science Cafe and extended hours. The first Thursday of every month features some challenging Science Trivia.

Wednesday commemorates 9/11 in the Triangle with several opportunities for service. Activate Raleigh 2019 aims to mobilize volunteers with a variety of service projects and then culminates with a commemoration on Wednesday at Red Hat Amphitheater.

Fuquay-Varina will host a 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance Wednesday morning at their new Art Center.

Festivals Throughout the Triangle

The State Fairgrounds will host the annual Holy Trinity Greek Festival. Come enjoy authentic Greek food, homemade Greek pastries, marketplace, live Greek music, Greek dance groups & more.

Join them Friday for the John Chavis Memorial Park Groundbreaking Celebration! This fun celebration will include inflatables, mobile games, refreshments, and more!

Downtown Chapel Hill will be buzzing Friday evening with activity with a pep-rally atmosphere at Tar Heel Downtown. Come enjoy a live concert, the Tar Heel Cheerleaders, kids games & activities, concessions, a Marching Tar Heels performance, face painting, and the chance to meet Rameses!

The State Farmers Market in Raleigh will highlight Triangle Pottery along with plenty of local produce this Saturday.

Fun Fall Events at the Parks!

Join a naturalist Saturday morning at Eno River State Park for a Mountains-to-Sea Birthday Hike. Is the trail's 42nd birthday.

Join Lake Crabtree's bird enthusiast, Vernon, for an easy walk while looking and listening for our feathered friends Saturday morning.

Durham"s tobacco heritage is explored through the stories and experiences of Durham residents on a Durham Murals by Bike Tour on the first Saturday every month.

Historic Yates Mill Pond County Park will be giving Saturdays at the Old Mill Tours and Mill Heritage & Local History Tours on Sunday.

Prairie Ridge Ecostation welcomes young children to their Nature Stories on Thursday mornings and the whole family for Citizen Science Saturdays.

Geocaching is a treasure hunt where participants use GPS coordinates to track down hidden "caches." Join them Sunday on the American Tobacco Trail to learn how to use traditional GPS units and the Geocaching App and then hike to find real geocaches hidden along the Trail.

Culture in the Triangle

Works by Ingrid Erickson will be on display at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. Join them Friday evening for an Opening Reception.

Friday on the Front Porch of the Carolina Inn brings Barefoot Manner Bluegrass Band to the stage and food trucks Bulkogi and Cousins Maine for your dining pleasure.

Teen Science Cafes are back at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. This Friday features some Teen Science Trivia.

The First Friday Gallery Walk returns to Downtown Raleigh with a wide variety of art, music, dining and music.

Both Marbles Kids Museum and City of Raleigh Museum stay open late on First Fridays with special activities and Raleigh's City Market hosts an evening of Art in the Market with music, artists, crafts and great food.

Bands, Bites and Boats are back at at Bond Park Friday night with a concert by the band EG Peters, food truck Trash Talk and brewery Brueprint.

The PLAYlist Concert Series returns Friday night to Durham Central Park with the Project 919 Band with an Empower Dance Lesson

Six Sundays in Spring Concert at Joyner Park features the Legacy Band this weekend.

She Bop will be the featured band for Sunday's Hillsborough Concert. There will also be a Merchant Sidewalk Sale.

Peter Lamb and the Wolves take the stage Wednesday evening for a Park After Dark concert at Cary's Downtown Park.
